"Phones aren't bad. They just don't belong in all social spaces."
- Seán Killingsworth, 22, Reconnect Founder
AS FEATURED IN
A growing movement
Hosted 100+ phone-free events
Welcomed 600+ unique participants
Created 3,000+ collective phone-free hours of connection
That’s over 125 full days of presence from Gen Z
The goal is to launch phone-free clubs in as many high schools, colleges, and communities as humanly possible

How it started
Reconnect began as a way to hang out with my friends without our phones. I didn't want anyone to feel shamed or excluded, just invited into a space for connection and presence. Today, Reconnect is rapidly spreading through Gen Z and beyond as a network of peer led clubs to hang out, make new friends, and do fun stuff without phones.
The Problem Reconnect Is Solving
What is a Reconnect event?
Conversation picnics in the park
Art jams to talk and paint
Group hikes
Really anything you want to do with friends phone free

Reconnect doesn’t restrict,
it invites.
You don't need to delete social media or get a flip phone to join Reconnect. We create fully present, uninterrupted social spaces where connection naturally thrives. And everyone's invited.
Everyone deserves a choice between two habitats:
Screen Habitat: online, recorded, attention split
Natural Connection Habitat: offline, together,
fully present
Today that choice is rarely available. Our mission is to make it normal.

We Need Both Habitats
It’s tempting to make one right and one wrong.
The truth is that we will always need both.
Right now, we need an accessible choice to take a break from screen habitats.
